We just received our Edushape solid-colors tiles today, and they are awesome! I have yet to actually put baby on the mat and "try it out," but I did put all of the pieces together. It is fairly soft for a baby to use for a play mat (even though the directions say that the product is for age 3+). So far, I'm really pleased with how the mat feels and with it's overall appearance. Also, if you have limited space to work with, this is awesome because it's not that big.
Also, some had commented about a "chemical smell," but I haven't noticed anything like that (and I have an acute sense of smell, too!).
